![]() If this is on you need to hit "GENERATE" at the bottom right to get it to refresh after choosing your filters.ġ3. Might be useful on larger databases if you want to toggle more filters after choosing the date, else you will have to wait for it to load twice. Disable Update on Date Change - This will stop the report from refreshing when you change the date. This way you can see what the balance was on that date combined with the other filters vs just what it is right now.ġ2. ![]() This will force the report to add up the columns to produce the balance rather than just pulling it straight from the chart. Use A/R Columns for Balance - This is very useful if you use the Aging at Date filter to backdate the A/R. ![]() Remove Zero Balances - Does just that, may be needed in some combinations of filters when using the FIFO method or Aging at Date.ġ1. This will limit to just the subtotals and eliminate the detail.ġ0. Limit to Subtotals - Use this if you have dragged a column heading up top to "group by subtotals". Mainly used when back-dating the A/R report to view it at a point in the past via "Aging at Date".ĩ. Exclude if first date of service after aging date - This is useful if you do not want to see a charts balance if their first DOS is after the aging date. Exclude Inactive Patients - Does exactly this, will not include charts marked inactive even if they have a balance.Ĩ. Search by Doctor - This just works with the Doctor Dropdown selection, you can uncheck this to clear it if need.ħ. Type - Use this to limit the report to just Insurance or Cash Balances, else you get them both combined.Ħ. Doctor - Use this if you want to see it for just one Doctor ID.ĥ. Use leading match to get all Case Types that start with the same number, for example Leading Match 0 would return Case Type 00, 01, 02, 05, etc.Ĥ. Case Type - If you want to filter to just one case do so here with exact match. This will combine the best of both by aging on the line item posting detail but reverting to first in first out accounting on payments not posted via line item.ģ. A safe bet is always Method 2 Line Item + FIFO. Choosing the Method - These are just like they sound and I will try to explain what one you should be using. The filter on the bottom right "Use A/R Columns for Balance" is often used in conjunction with this so you can see what the balance was on that date, else you see the current balance.Ģ. Aging at Date - This is used to see how the A/R looked at a certain point in time. For example dragging the Case column up will give you the aging broken down by case now rather than patient.ġ. You can also group the report by certain columns just by dragging the column heading to the box up top. Click the "MORE" button on the bottom left to see the extra filters. Starting at the top left I will explain each filter. There are filters that can be used to narrow down the scope of it, for example you might want to see the current Aging for just one Doctor, or Clinic, or you might want to see how it looked at a certain point in time and compare it to today. The aging report is useful to see how your current outstanding collections look and is broken down by 30, 60, 90, 120 days or more.
